Duri rejuvacote & Nefertiti's Crown

Hi there :)

Like 2 weeks ago, Rachel in a Polish Swap group ( you should join! ) we are in posted a picture of her beautiful long nails. Both Leah and I commented how beautiful and long and just so nice they were ( Not to sound like a weirdo or anything lolol!! ) and how our nails both just are short and peel and break and just kind of suck at life... Kellie said she has been using Duri Rejuvacote and showed us a before and after. OMG I had to try this!! She said it can be found online or Wal Mart. I did some googling to find out if they are cruelty free.. They are!! :DDDD  . So I went to Wal Mart the very next day and got some to try.

I tried it like the next day after I got it. It says you can paint your nails or leave it bare. First I chose a silver holo to wear because it was something I thought I could look at for a week and wouldn't get bored with … Wrong. I was bored with it like as soon as I put it on… Not good.

I was telling hubby my predicament and he said to take it off and redo it. I said Yea, I might as well.  I doubt it will work anyways with my hands being in gloves and stuff all day. So I took him to work and came home and re painted my nails. I was talking to Leah on FB chat and as I was taking off the nail polish I could already tell that the rejuvacote was working!!!!!!!!!!!! OMG I WAS SO EXCITED!! Here is what my nails looked like when I started. I started on April 25th (13). I figured since my nails were all damaged and icky, I would just file them down stubby and try and start all over again and see what it could do.

I really love this stuff . It last's and the dry finish is gorgeous. Someone in the group mentioned it looks like a gel finish! I love it!

Have you tried the Duri Rejuvacote? What did you think? I would really so love to see before and after photos!

I wanted to do kind of a neutral color but something that I thought would last, and wouldn't end up getting bored with again. I picked out a few colors but none of them made the cut... Then I noticed the color I had won from Neffy's Nail Corner from NailNation 3000! Nefertiti's Crown.

Nefertitit's Crown is a super gorgeous, brownish/gold base with tons of gem colored glitter. I know Cinderella's gown was blue but as I was putting this on I felt like Cinderella.. Maybe they should make a new Disney Princess based on this gorgeous color!

I only did one coat of the brown because I wasn't sure if two was okay with the rejuvacote. It covered really well with just one and I just love this color. Five days on and I am still loving it! While I am driving I catch it in the sunlight and I'm just like oh! So gorgeous!  I really love it. I must say I really picked a 'winner'!!

My camera really doesn't do this color all the justice it deserves, especially for the glitter!

Here is a picture taken on the 27th, after two full work days AND a whole morning of scrubbing the kitchen.

Impressive huh?? I think yes!

If you haven't checked out NailNation yet, what are you waiting for?!!?

Thank you for reading! I hope you enjoy!

  3. Great post! I Love that NailNation polish! Im really digging neutrals lately. This one is definitely going on my wishlist.
I have used duri forever, its great! But best advice i could give you is get yourself a quality crystal/glass nail file. I had horrible peeling but since i made the switch from emery boards i haven't had one split. And cuticle oil or balm is a must have too, Sunnys Miracle Balm is my fave and it smells so yummy :)

    1. Thank you for the advice! I will look into one of those! I think I saw some at Sally's last time I went! I just started using some cuticle oil too. I got some from Julep so I figured to give it a shot. I can definitely tell a difference when I use it.

    1. I have just started using cuticle oil because I got some in a box from julep. I don't know if it makes my nails stronger but I can tell they are way less icky and dry when I use it! I try to put it on before bed! I love the rejuvacote because it really seems to work and the routine is really easy to stick to because it dries SO FAST!

    2. You should really give the "Pure Nail Oil" a try. I promise you will fall in love! Here is the link, I get some credit if you order from here.

  25. I am starting my third week challenge with rejuvacote :) I am Leary of keeping my nails this length because they bend so easily, but don't want to have nubs either...I just recently did a blog post juicyliciousbeauty on blogger about treatment so far and I'm loving the growth it gives me..my nails look healthier with it applied and I'm hoping for awesome results in a few months :) my nails are damaged from press on nails ( I rip gel polish and the falsies off, I know I shouldn't) but I had a habit if it...two weeks of no peeling or picking at my nails and its a huge thing for me to be so nice to my nails...I was a nail biter until four years ago, then I quit, now I just have to baby my digits again and bring them back to how they should be :)
