World Ovarian Cancer Day

Hi there :)

A fan (an Ovarian cancer survivor for 10 years!) posted on our facebook page about World Ovarian Cancer Day. A day dedicated to creating and raising awareness about Ovarian Cancer.

 If you are a woman, I highly recommend you check out the Facts.. I made this little picture but you can check the site also. That is where I got all the information .

The color for Ovarian Cancer awareness is teal. I chose Wet n Wild Fergie - Miami Spirit. Its a very pretty dark teal with green and blue shimmers. Here it is with two thick coats. 

I decided to do some dots with Klean Color Neon Purple & Flower I lavendare you!. I also did an accent nail with Klean Color Chunky Holo Teal.

I totally smudged my thumb while I was trying to paint my left hand. I tried to fix it but I guess you can really notice it on the camera. You can barely see it in real life.

Good Bud-dy & Cosmos-politan

Hi there :)

So I've really been attracted to bright nail polishes lately. I am really looking forward to this summer. Not for any particular reason because I'm not going anywhere or anything but I will be starting classes back up and I am really looking forward to that. I've been missing school. I also love to swim. We used to have a pool growing up but my parents actually just got rid of their pool last summer. waa :( .

I wanted to do something bright but not super bright. I sat and looked at my nail polish for like 15 minutes trying decided how bright I wanted to go, what colors I wanted to use and so on and so forth. Finally I decided on Flower - Good Bud-dy and Cosmos-politan. I get that these are both a play on words but I am not entirely sure if good bud-dy is a play off the words that I am thinking... I'd love to know. I am really a huge fan of this brand of polish. I love the application and the colors are really gorgeous.

I used cosmos-politan as the base. I really love this pink. Its bright but its not like in-yo-face bright pink. Just bright enough for what I was wanting.

I used good bud-dy just as a tip. I just wanted something simple and easy because I had like an hour before I had to go to work.

I liked this a lot but the tips are super sloppy. Even though I didn't have a ton of time I could have done those way nicer. Leah told me about some tip thingies she has. I think I am going to invest in some of them.

Happy Spring!

Spring is starting soon, so I decided to do a cute spring look. Its been snowing on and off here. I live in Michigan so its been snowing and cold one day, then the next its almost 50 and sunny as hell! lol Darn bipolar Michigan weather. Yesterday was 46 and felt great out. I don't know what the weather was like today cuz I was being a hermit. haha. Anyways, decided to try a few new things with this mani! There is a place in my mall called Glitter. I don't know if this store has lots of locations because I have a hard time finding things about it, but the store is awesome. They have racks upon racks of accessories, makeup, jewelry, etc and its all only $1!! Its like a dollar store for girls! They have purses and belts and some other things too, but that stuff isn't $1. It is still decently priced. Sadly, some of their products aren't cruelty free. I bought some nail art stickers to try and they're really awesome and such a great deal! They had a ton of different styles to choose from too. The nail stickers were super easy to put on too. I just peeled them off, placed them were I wanted them, then put a top coat over top to help seal them.

Payless Shoe Store also had some new polishes and other things. I bought a few and used one in this mani. It goes on pretty good and they had lots of good colors to try. For this manicure I used Sage Stilletto. The brand name on the bottle is S.X.Y. by Unforgettable Moments.

I also tried a few of the new Flower polishes from Drew Barrymore's line. For this manicure I used May Flowers, What's The Daffodilly-O?, and I Lavendare You! Some went on awesome with 1 coat, others needed a few.

Next I tried a new one from the Sinful Colors Sugar Rush collection. I used Unicorn. It went on ok. Needs a few coats. Used L.A. Colors Super Strength Nail Builder for a base and top coat.

Together I think they all look cute and springy! The flowers added the perfect touch.

I lavendare you!

Hi there :) Happy Friday! 

 

I wanted to post this like Monday or Tuesday but this past week my schedule was really dum and weird and I couldn’t find the time to sit and do my nails and write a post. . So here is the post. :)

 

Last week I got a 10$ Wal Mart gift card from my mypoints, so I stopped to get Noner some dog food… As I was walking in I noticed these super adorable polishes I’ve never seen before, and I had to stop! The colors were sooo pretty! Right away I checked to see if they had anything about being cruelty free.. It must have been fate – it said it right there on the label! ‘We never test on animals’. Oh yay! I think I stood there looking at them for at least 15 minutes trying decided which one I wanted… It was so hard!

 I chose a really pretty light lavender color called “I lavendare you!” it wasn’t until I went to use it that I noticed it had a really pretty glittery/shimmer undertone to it! 

The brand is named “flower beauty”. After doing a little bit of googling I found that the company is owned by Drew Barrymore ( I really love her as an actress! ), I believe they are a Wal Mart exclusive brand, they are made in the United States, and they never test on animals. You can check out the philosophy, other cosmetics they have, where to buy near you and other stuff on their website. I loved the formula of this polish and even in my gloves it lasted a few days! When it did peel off it only peeled in small flecks.. I will definitely be buying more colors of this!  

Omg in this last picture my hands look so bad! The antibiotics that I am on and this cold weather we are having are KILLING my skin!
