*waves* Long time, no blog!

Hi there!

Hope you all are well. I've missed you all, and blogging so very much! Thank you for sticking by us while we figured out our personal lives. It really means a lot to us. I lost my way a bit in February, and I've just recently found my way back.. I did not know how to start this post. I feel so rusty. I wanted to share with you all why I have been absent so much lately. So I hope that I don't lose you before I get to the polishes. I apologize in advance, this will probly be pretty long! The polishes are on the bottom if you want to just skip to them! ;)

In Feb. I had a lot of car trouble. A LOT. I ended up losing my job because of it. I have never been fired from any job in my 10-11 years of working. I was devastated. I felt so useless. And I was so angry! I am still pretty angry with how everything went down. With all the trouble with my car I had to worry how I would get my hubby to work, and how I could get to school. I stopped painting my nails, except for the few colors I had been sent to review. I just had no desire. My parents helped me with my car so at least I was able to get hubby to and from work, and I could finish up my semester. On my very last day of class, I ended up adopting a dog from a lady I used to work with. We named him BOY because it was literally the only thing he answered to lolol. He was a wreck of a dog, and he tried and tested my patience, and seemed to know how to push every single one of my buttons to drive me absolutely crazy! He has taken a lot of work, time, and pateince, but I think we are finally making some progress! yayy!

Fast Forward to June, I was coming home from taking hubby to work, all of a sudden, all the lights on my dash go on, and the car just stops. There, in the middle of traffic.. And it wont start for nothing. I go to grab my phone, and I left my phone at home... Fuck. Great. Fantastic! It was like 830am, I was still in my pajamas, and I looked like a mess. I walked into the first store I saw that was open, and I tried to call my hubby to see if he could get a hold of my friend Amanda to pick me up since we were supposed to hang out that day. She finally finds me and we try to get my car to Auto Zone to have it tested. Nothing is showing up. Everything is fine it says.. ughhhh BRUNO MARS ( my cars name. Because I hate them both so very much!! ) WHY MUST YOU BE LIKE THIS?! We left my car in the Wal-Mart parking lot and she took me home to her house.. We didn't even get to watch Pretty Little Liars!! My car was out of commission for about a week and a half. While all this is going down, my Grandma offered me to come live with her in AZ.. She had offered a few times, but I was in school, and there were a lot of things we had to take care of so I just didn't know if it would work or if it would ever even happen. I mean, I have A LOT of animals, hubby has a job that he LOVES, there were a lot of things that needed to be taken care of. But I was so unhappy. we could not catch a break for anything. Hubby had talked to his boss to see if he could transfer, and it ended up getting him a promotion! Very awesome and exciting! So in a little over 3 weeks, I had to clean, get rid of, and pack 6+ years worth of stuff. That was tough. It took me about a week to pack my nail polish alone!

Aug. 3rd we packed up the truck and headed to Arizona... Since we have been here things have been pretty good. There are still things in IL. that we are taking care of, but we are finally out. I really needed this restart... And I would like to thank you all again for sticking by us while everything was going on in our personal lives. It really truly means the world to us.

So now for some polish! Since I've been here in Az., I have been wanting to blog again and paint my nails regularly. I am even thinking about going and getting my nail technician degree, until I can find a school that offers dietetic technician.

So, I have a few designs that I want to show you today. I have posted a few on my instagram, but not all of them yet!

My natural nails have also been looking really nice! They are not as brittle, peely, and just plain crappy. I still need a ridge filler, but I really am so proud of them. I have been trying to take really good care of them!
Just Kidding!
The first one I want to show you is a fun nail art. I used the first couple colors that I unpacked and some nail tape. The base colors are butter LONDON Silly Billy and Cake-Hole. I placed some nail tape in different ways once those dried, and applied Union Jack Black on top. One of my very favorite blacks!

Fun, right?! It was also really super easy! I may try to do a video tutorial some time!

I also used my dotting tools for the first time. On the first day we got here to AZ. Hubby had to run to the store to get a few things, I stayed home to unpack some stuff. When he came home he gave me  three wet n wilds from their new Ferris Wheel Collection. I had been so out of the loop, I did not even know Wet n Wild had a new collection!

I used Wheel Romance as my base color and used my dotting tool and did some little dots with spitfire and chambray showers. Topped with some northern lights for some glitter! I really loved this a lot. Very cute and easy!

And I saved the best for last. This one was my very favorite mani that I have done in a long time. I found an idea for it on pinterest and did my own version of it. I did it for Hubby's bday. We went out to celebrate his bday and our Anniversary, because we didn't really get to do anything for our anniversary last month.

I used Zoya Dovima as my base and, Ulta Holographic on my thumb, Chaos & Crocodiles Color Wheel Chaos on my pointer, OPI In True Stefani Fashion on my middle, Wet n Wild Fergie Mermaid Curves on my ring finger, and OPI Pink Yet Lavender on my pinkie. I then used Julep matter top coat over the glitter! I really loved this. It was so easy and so pretty! I couldn't stop looking at it. I only wish I did glitter on my thumb, and not the holographic.

I really hope that you love all of these! I will be posting about my trip to the Arizona Botanical Gardens next time! It was so cool and so much fun!

Thank you for reading! I hope you enjoy my nail arts!

Spring Themed Nail Art

Hi there!

Today I want to show you some Spring themed nail art that I did! I had so much fun coming up with ideas and trying to draw them out. Please keep in mind that I am by no means an artist and I tried really hard on this! So please be kind!

Here is a picture with the flash.

For my inspiration I did a snowman chillin' on snow bank ( cuz it has snowed here like 4 times! ), a butterfly coming out of the beautiful green gas, storm cloud with rain, A woman who is so happy its Spring and warm, with her fun spakley sun glasses ( she looks kinda like the one daughter on Bob's Burgers, Tina!), and a really bad tree with sparkley leaves and grass!

For my colors I used Nicole by OPI Stand by your Manny, Julep Kate, Blue Eyed Girl Lacquer Untrodden Snow, China Glaze Running in Circles, Orly Pixie Power, Zoya Sunshine, Nicole by OPI Promises in the Dark, OPI Chillin like a Villain, Zoya Chita. Color Club black holographic, cosmic creature and red on red nail art pens, Color Club silver glitter duo pen.

Valentines Day/Anti Valentines Day

Hello lovees!

When I was doing my waterfall mani a few weeks ago, I decided that I was going to give it another try on my other hand with some different colors. I decided that I would try some Valentines colors. I used Hedy's Ma.nish.ma Nuclear Pink for the base. Its dries matte, so I thought doing a whole matte version of the waterfall nails would be cute. So for the lines I used Art Club Duo Pen Red, Art Club Duo Pen Holo Silver, Art Club White. I had originally wanted to try polka dots in Valentines colors, hence my thumb being polka dots. I decided I didn't want to do them all that way, but I was going to keep it. I used the the same base color and same silver, but for the red I used Sally Hansen Nail Art Pen in Red and the Sally Hansen I <3 Nail Art Pen in White. Since the lines weren't matte finishes, I decided to use My Stash Lacquers Shaken, Not Stirred for my top coat. While doing the top coat, I smudged my thumb. I just left it though cuz I was being lazy. lol

Then a few days later I decided that I wanted to do a Anti Valentines Day mani. I had tried doing Zoya Storm as a base with a red and black Hard Candy polish, but it looked terrible together. lol So instead I did this. I had taken off the first mani and did this one, so the first mani left a mess that I really didn't notice much until I was taking pics. lol So excuse the mess. haha

I got Zoya Storm for Christmas from Panacea. When I had looked at pictures of it in the past I wasn't all that fond of it, but when I tried it I fell in love! Its definitely my favorite black polish now! Such a gorgeous color! Finished the mani off with some hearts in Rock It by Orly. I just love these two colors together, I think they look so gorgeous together!

Dovima

Hi there!

For Christmas my friend Hogan got me the Zoya matte collection. I was so excited! I think I've had the purple on my toes since I got them lolol. I want to show you the black matte today. Its called Dovima and seriously what a gorgeous name for such a gorgeous color!

It goes on pretty thick with one coat but two coat definitely brings out the gorgeousness of this color!  Its matte ( obviously ) but it is sparkley in some lights. Very pretty.

Here it is with two coats no topcoat.

I was so excited to get this for Christmas and I was really not disappointed with this collection! Its so gorgeous!

Payton

Hi there!

Are you all ready for the Holidays? I am. Most of my Christmas shopping is done. I have a few packages to get out still. Poor time management on my part but that's ok! I think they will be worth the wait! The traffic and weather and everything has just been so ridiculous and crazy! I'm so ready for life to settle down and go back to normal...

The weather has been super crappy here. I am really hating it. It's really like end of the world creepy weather! Its been cold and rainy and icy and freeze rain and snowing and windy! Its nuts. I am so over it. I really needed to paint my nails and I really needed something that was gonna be pretty and lift my spirits! I was looking through my colors and Payton really caught my eye!

It is such a gorgeous deep purple scatter holographic!!  It is such a nice shade of purple and the holo really just adds so much pizazz to it. I really enjoyed this color and it made me feel much better!

Here it is with two coats and a topcoat.

Check out that sparkle. Isn't it intense? It was so fun to look at! Such a beauty! Have you tried any of the Zenith collection colors? What color(s) are you wanting the most?

Thank you for reading! I hope you enjoy!

Bloody Candy Corn

Hi there!

I wanted to post these on Halloween but Halloween was nutso. I didn't even end up being able to do my regular Thursday post. Boo..

I had to work and we were so slow even though the Halloween weather here really stunk! It was sooo chilly and so wet and rainy. It was a really big bummer. I felt so bad for the kids! Did you and/or your kids dress up? We'd love to see your costumes if you did. Please share them on our FB page!

I was really feeling the Pixie Dusts for all my Halloween nail art designs. Very fun. I know Leah did just about the same designs but I wanted to share too!

First I did Candy Corn. I used Zoya Pixie Dusts Solange, Dhara and Tomoko.

Here is a picture of my fatty cat Jello. She had to be in the background! Diva cats...

I also did some bloody drips for some nail art. I used Zoya Jacqueline for the base and Chyna for the bloody drips..

My favorite of the two were the bloody ones. I got a few compliments on them too!

Thank you for reading! I hope you enjoy!

Pixie Halloween!

Hi there!

I love Halloween! It's my favorite! I had a little time the other day and I really wanted to do some Halloween nail art. I was looking through my polishes and I decided I really wanted to use pixies! I did a Vampire, a mummy, 'boo', a grave- R.I.P. with a moon, and a pumpkin!

The colors I used were all Zoya Pixie Dust's : Tomoko, Dhara, Dahlia, Chyna, London, Solange

I love the pixies so much!  Zoya pixies are one of my favorite of textured polishes! Do you use textured polishes? What are your favorite?

Here is a picture of my Baby Girl ( Puddin ). She wanted to be in the pictures. Doesn't she look so mean? She is lolol.

Thank you for reading! I hope you enjoy!

Darcy

Hi there!

A few weeks ago I showed you this color as a base to My polish is POPPIN and today I want to show it to you by itself.

I really really love yellow nail polish. It doesn't always look that great on me but I still like it!

Darcy is a creamy yellow, almost neon yellow but not quite. This is from the Zoya Stunning summer collection! The first coat was very thin and streaky but, with two coats I think this polish is just so gorgeous!!

I really love this color. When I first put it on I was like ew I hate this because it was so streaky and thin. After I put on the second coat. I was very happy.  I don't have much experience with cream polishes but I am totally a fan. I hope there will be more cream collections!!!

Thank you for reading! I hope you enjoy!

Here is two coats of My polish is POPPIN over Zoya Darcy. Its from their Stunning summer cream collection. I am planning on doing a separate post about this color so I won't go into too much detail right now! ;)

Here is two coats of My polish is POPPIN over Wet n Wild Fergie Havasu Blue. Oh my goodness. What a GORGEOUS color!! I am also planning a post about this so I'll keep it short. They look SO good together!! I couldn't stop staring at it!
