Hot Pink

Hi there :)

I hope everyone is having fun entering the giveaway! I am so excited! We have 288 likes on our facebook!!!! You guys are so cool!!!!

So today I wanted to show you a really neat polish I found at Hot Topic!! The brand is called Black Heart, they are cruelty free and I believe they are also vegan formula..  I have a few polishes from Hot Topic from before they changed their bottles.. They had clearanced all the ones out a loooooong time ago and when I asked why the lady told me they wouldn't be selling them anymore... I never really gave it another thought.. When I walked in and saw these... I HAD TO HAVE THEM ALL!!! ( I only bought 2 ).. The bottles.. They are wicked cool... Want to know what they look like? They are skulls! How. friggin. wicked! LOOK!

Ok. See how that is 3 different colors there..  I was like oh hey how does this work. And I started to shake it... Then I noticed this...

So I was confused... I was like wait how is this supposed to work? I don't understand...  Then I tried it on.. THAT is how it's supposed to work. Wow what a beautiful color!!  Not one nail looked exactly the same color and I think that is neat. It turned out to be a light pink/silver. Very pretty.

I decided to try a glitter polish that I had made to put on top. Its pink, purple and a tiny bit of blue holo glitter with some black hex glitter.. I kind of really love how they look together!

My camera could not get a great picture of the polish on my nails... I really hate this camera! The Blackheart polishes can be found at Hot Topic and they are 5$, which I didn't think was too bad since I'm pretty sure they used to be like 6.99$ AND they are SO COOL!

Thank you for reading, I hope you enjoy!

I lavendare you!

Hi there :) Happy Friday!

I wanted to post this like Monday or Tuesday but this past week my schedule was really dum and weird and I couldn’t find the time to sit and do my nails and write a post. . So here is the post. :)

Last week I got a 10$ Wal Mart gift card from my mypoints, so I stopped to get Noner some dog food… As I was walking in I noticed these super adorable polishes I’ve never seen before, and I had to stop! The colors were sooo pretty! Right away I checked to see if they had anything about being cruelty free.. It must have been fate – it said it right there on the label! ‘We never test on animals’. Oh yay! I think I stood there looking at them for at least 15 minutes trying decided which one I wanted… It was so hard!

I chose a really pretty light lavender color called “I lavendare you!” it wasn’t until I went to use it that I noticed it had a really pretty glittery/shimmer undertone to it!

The brand is named “flower beauty”. After doing a little bit of googling I found that the company is owned by Drew Barrymore ( I really love her as an actress! ), I believe they are a Wal Mart exclusive brand, they are made in the United States, and they never test on animals. You can check out the philosophy, other cosmetics they have, where to buy near you and other stuff on their website. I loved the formula of this polish and even in my gloves it lasted a few days! When it did peel off it only peeled in small flecks.. I will definitely be buying more colors of this!

Omg in this last picture my hands look so bad! The antibiotics that I am on and this cold weather we are having are KILLING my skin!

Thank you for reading! I hope you enjoy!

Evangeline

I already have a few posts lined up to put up, but I wanted to share this one first. Did these nails last night and I just LOVE this color. The pics don't do it any justice! I took advantage of the Zoya pick 3 for free sale and got Jem, Karine, and Evangeline. I will eventually show you guys the other two, but Evangeline I wanted to do last night. I just think its such a pretty color, and it has a subtle shimmer to it. Looks really awesome outside in the sunlight too! I was kinda worried when I got it cuz in the bottle it looks red and I was like "OH NO! Its supposed to be a pink color!" After putting it on though, its definitely pink. Used China Glaze's no chip top coat for my top. Sorry this is such a short post, but I promise I will have a longer post soon!

Sasha

Hi there :)

Happy Weekend! I hope everyone is having a great one :). I really wanted to crochet today... Like all day but we ended up running errands and I had to do dishes and clean up some. The house has really taken the back seat lately with me being sick and working and I couldn't seem to get any better :0

I wanted to show you a pretty that I got from a swap. I know I mentioned the swap groups before and some may be weary but so far I have had nothing but wonderful swaps with wonderful people and I've made some new friends too!

Meet Sasha! She is a really pretty pink/salmon color. I was really surprised with how nice it looked on me and to me, the color made my nails look longer than they are :)

This is a short post but I just had to share with you this pretty color! I hope you like it! Thanks for reading!

Optical Illusion Rodeo Fanatic!

Hi there :)

I have a short post for you with my nails :) .

For Christmas Hubby got me some really pretty nail polishes. Two of them were China Glaze Rodeo Fanatic & Optical Illusion.

I did 4 nails with Optical Illusion and I wanted an accent nail so I used Rodeo Fanatic under one of them.. After I finished I wish I would have done Rodeo Fanatic as a base for all of them and did just one accent nail with just Optical Illusion, but I still really love how they turned out!

The Optical Illusion I used two coats but I feel like I probably could have added one more. It didn't last very long either :((. It started chipping after my first shower and a day in my gloves at work, I only had polish on the accent nail.... That's ok- just a reason to repaint my nails :D

Thank you for reading! I hope you enjoy!

My dog Fiona

Hi there :)

I have a nail post for you but, I'd really like you to meet my dog!! Her name is Fiona and I love her SO much! About 2 1/2 years ago Hubby and I wanted to start a family but we weren't in a place to be able to and we weren't ready.. We still aren't.. He said to me he would like a dog.. Growing up my family always had cats and even since Toby and I have been married- we have 5 rescue fat cats. I never really wanted a dog (even when I told my facebook friends that I got a dog, they couldn’t believe that I had gotten a dog!) But I thought about it a little and I decided that maybe a dog would be ok, but it would have to be a rescue.. So he looked, we went to a few shelters and then he found Fortunate Lab Rescue a shelter that saves dogs from being used in test experiments…  When Toby told me about this place I said “There is still testing on animals?” Surprisingly there are a lot of companies that still do.. I thought for sure with all the technology and stuff that we have now-a-days that was for sure a thing of the past…

He pulled some dogs up to look and we found Bella (Now Fiona). She is a German Shepherd and she is a big fat baby :D. When we went to the place to actually look at the dogs we looked at a few and one of them was SO obnoxious and the other one peed right there on the floor in front of me…. If I had a bigger home with a yard, I would have adopted all those babies but we decided to adopt Fiona for now. Adjusting to a dog was weird, and a lot of times at first I would forget we even had her! I have grown to love her so so much, I can't imagine my life without a dog and she has changed something in me. I’ve always been compassionate and especially toward animals but when we got her I feel like I really realized my passion and purpose in life- to help animals. I love animals- more than most humans… I would love to have another dog!! Toby and I have decided when we move we will buy a large house with a large yard so that we can have more… I don’t even know if there is another dog in this world that is as good as Fiona but I'm willing to find out. For a first dog, I could not have asked for a better dog! That is a lot to live up to lolol. When I look at her, I just cannot believe that someone would want to test on or hurt her or that someone could test on or hurt any animal.. For me it was easy to make the choice to become cruelty free. In my home we don’t buy products that have been tested on animals.. A lot of times the things are the same price as a non cruelty free product, I just have to take a little longer to do the research to find out if the Company is cruelty free or not. You can order a free guide from peta, here.  I’m still waiting for mines, I ordered it about 2 months ago, maybe a little less but it is estimated 10 weeks to get so I will wait- that is what smart phones have google for! A word to companies that don't test- GO YOU! PLEASE know that you are amazing and if you are a cruelty free product show that shit off! Paste it on every product!

Thank you for reading about my dog Fiona. I will post my nail post in a little bit!

Shameless

So who watches Shameless on Showtime? Its probably one of my favorite shows. Last night season 3 premiered. I haven't gotten a chance to watch the episode yet, but I am really excited to!!

Anyways, did my nails with a Shameless theme. I was tired when I did it and they look pretty mad I gotta say. lol I think if I redid them they would look much better.

I got to try out one of my new Juleps from the end of the year sale. I used Carla from Julep, Lightening by Sally Hansen, the insta dry line. Then for the lettering I used L.a. Colors White nail art.

Originally, I was going to do some sort of theme for each nail for each of the Gallaghers, but since I was tired  and that would have taken me a really long time, I decided to just do this.

It was pretty funny, when I was doing these I counted out so many times which letters were going to go on what nails and made sure I had it perfect so that each pinky was without a letter. Then as I was writing it on my nails, I realized I hadn't been adding an E after the M so my whole design got screwed up. lol

Anyways, hope you guys enjoyed this quick post. Check out Shameless if you haven't already. Its Sundays at 9pm ET/PT on Showtime.

The Impossible!

Hope everyone is excited about the giveaway! Its going to be ending sunday the 13th, so make sure you get all the entries that you can get in!!

So, for those of you who don't know, Panacea and I are best friends. Sadly, we live in different states. She lives in Illinois and I live in Michigan. So for Christmas, Pan sent me a box of goodies for me and my kids. It was tons of nail polish and some other goodies. I was so excited to get it. Lots of new brands that I haven't tried before, also types of polish that I haven't tried before, including this one. Its Liquid Sand by OPI. Its exactly that. Its really neat because its got a grain to it and a bit of a matte finish. The color is called "The Impossible." This quote comes to mind: Impossible is a word to be found only in the dictionary of fools. -Napoleon Bonaparte.

This polish goes on real thick and awesome on the first coat. Finished it off with a top coat. My pics really don't do it any justice. They make the color slightly off and I dunno what else, but they look much better in person. I also need to get a good top coat. I asked on our facebook page awhile ago what everyones favorite top coats are and not many people answered. I would really like some opinions on some very awesome top coats that all you lovely ladies use!

Sorry that this isn't that long, but I need to shower and go to sleep because I need to get up early tomorrow, helping my friend house hunt! Hope everyone has a fantastic week!!

xoxoLeah

cuz two can keep a secret if one of them is dead...

Hi there. :)

Tonite ( Tuesday ) is the new episode of Pretty Little Liars. Holy Cow I am so excited! I am so bummed I have to work!!! I originally had tomorrow off but my boss asked me to work - I like money so I said yes- BUT I FORGOT ITS PRETTY LITTLE LIARS!!! Oh well.. Maybe Wednesday when I cut Amanda's hair we will watch it ;)

Do you watch PLL? Who is your favorite Character ? ( Is that spelled right? It doesn't have a little squiggly line under it but it looks really weird lolol.. )

Tonight I did a Pretty Little Liars manicure in honor :D. I used Wet n Wild- Fergie Collection- Fergalicious. I really love this color. It's really super bright and it dries almost a matte.

(This camera I have makes the mess around my nails look way worse than it is. I try to clean it up but my camera catches errthing! My middle finger looks kinda gross :/ I got it stuck in the slicer at work >:0. )

I used Wet n Wild- Fergie Collection- Heels of Steel for the ' -A ' on my middle finger.

The Walgreens by my house has the Fergie Collection out with some coupons for 1$ off a Fergie collection polish. If you are wanting to try this polish out and want to save $1 you should check your Walgreens. I took like 3 cuz there were a few more colors I wanted but I could always share if they are good everywhere... That I don't know.

On the other nails I just did a tip of glitter. I used Spoiled by Wet n Wild - Shuffle the Deck & China Glaze whirled away. I was not over the top pleased with either of these honestly. I had a really hard time getting the glitter on the brush and an excessive amount of clear making it really hard and very spotty.

I hope you like my nails :D If you watch Pretty Little Liars - enjoy it tomorrow! If you don't and want to, its on Netflix instant stream.

Ps.
Don't forget about the giveaway!

Pretty in Plum

Hi there :)

Happy New Year! I hope everyone had a safe and awesome New Year!! Mine was nice, I worked till 6 ( I got sent home early cuz we were soooooo slow ) and Hubby actually got to work early, someone wanted to trade :) so I went to pick him up and we relaxed at home, watched the ball drop and went to sleep.

Last Friday Hubby worked only 4 hours so I decided to stay instead going back and forth. I went to Wal Mart to look around before Monsters Inc Started because it was like 45 minutes. While I was there I saw the Nicole by OPI Selena Gomez collection! None of the stores near me have any of this collection! :(

OMG WOW! I love them! When I heard that she was going to have a collection I honestly was not too interested in it but when I saw the colors I so changed my mind. I think I liked all but 2... Maybe not even 2 lol. I had a gift card, I was going to buy cat food with it but I bought a few colors instead.. (Don't worry, my fat cats didn't go hungry!! :D)

I think I may be going through a purple phase. I've been really loving purple polish lately. The color I wanted to show you is Pretty in Plum from the Selena Gomez collection. I really love the way it went on and the color. I wasn't sure how it would look on me but I actually REALLY liked it. I'm glad I picked this one. I don't have any purples like it.

I did a coat of Seche- Collage Overlay on top. I really like how it looked together. I always hear great things about Seche but I've never tried it before this one. I got it at Sally's, it was on sale so I figured to try it. It dries really super fast! It is also a cruelty free brand :D

The first few times I read the name of the glitter I was reading Collage Overload lol.

Thank you for reading! I hope you enjoy! Don't forget to like our page so we can get our giveaway going!

Have a sparkly new year!

Just a quick post...

Got some new polishes that I have never tried before for Christmas from my friend Ariel. Last night I decided to try them out and they're pretty awesome!! I used Sephora by OPI's Bare To Be Different. Its a flesh tone opaque. At first when I got it, I admit, I was kinda like meh, i'll never use this. I really like it though. There isn't anything to it really, but something about it is just nice. If you want to go for a bare nails look, its perfect. I forgot to take a picture of my nails with just that on them, but just imagine bare nails with a top coat almost...

Second, I decided to just do a few coats of the Sephora by OPI's Spark-tacular! glitter top coat. Its very pretty and sparkly! I thought it would be cute for the new year.

I did my nails with this last night, and so far its holding up very well. Normally my polishes are chipping a tad by the next day because I have two little boys. I don't think I need to say more than that. lol

Hope you guys enjoyed my post!! Also, don't forget we are doing another giveaway once our Facebook page reaches 125 likes! So be sure to 'like' our page if you haven't already and share our giveaway!! Thanks for all the love! xoxo Leah

Leah's Collection

Happy New Year everyone!!

So I recently went to put my new Christmas polishes that I got into the box that I keep my nail polishes in and realized they're starting to not fit anymore. Not to mention the $40 I just spent at the Julep end of the year sale which I haven't received yet. All these polishes except for about 3 I have acquired in 2 years, but mostly in the last year. We moved about 2 and a half years ago and I wasn't all that into polish at the time like I am now, so I put a bunch of it in storage. I have no idea where that box is now, not to mention they're probably all broken/exploded from the heat/cold changes. That makes me very sad, and I wish I would have kept them all out of storage, but at least I got a new collection going for me now!

This is the case I currently use. I was being lazy and didn't want to get my camera out again so I took a screenshot of the case on the Caboodles website. Its a great case, has shelves for other stuff like brushes, files, etc... Currently all my polishes fit in it, and I have a lot.

That is the top view of my current polishes that aren't in storage. You can't really tell from this pic, but I have an obsession with sparkly and glittery nail polishes! lol I have been trying to branch out from pinks too with my new collection of colors. My old collection was mostly pinks cuz its one of my favorite colors, but I seem to be leaning towards blues this time, haha.

To be honest, I am not really sure why I am doing a post about my collection of polishes, but I would really love to see pics of everyone elses collections!! Nail polish is one of my favorite things, and I love to share it! Panacea and I were talking about how we like to mention how we want to see certain things that you other ladies do, and we have yet to see anything from anyone! So don't be shy, share your pics with us!!
