Harambe

Hi there!!

Today I would like to share with you an indie brand that is new to try for me! A few weeks ago Ellagee had a small little Friday special. She was offering 5 bottles of a special polish for 6$ - once and noon and once at 8 ( So 10 bottles total ). She does this every Friday. I did not know! I just happened to get so lucky and see a lady post in one of the polish groups I am - like 3 minutes before noon! It was a red holographic. I have never seen that before!! I HAD to have it! So happy so lucky I got it!! But that is not what I am going to show you today ;).

When I got my package she sent me an extra little one to review. HOW EXCITING!!! The packaging is so cute. The polishes came in a cute little lace bag with her business card and SMARTIES!!! Smarties are one of my favorite candies! I remember when I was kid eating them all the time with my Dad. They are his favorite too. :D

The color that I am going to show you is Harambe. Here is the description from the website! Harambe is from the World Of Laughter collection, inspired by Disney park attractions and characters. It is a cream base with red, orange, yellow, green, gold, and brown glitters. It's named for the Harambe Wildlife Reserve area in Disney's Animal Kingdom Park.

I won't lie. When I first seen it I did not know if I loved it because I just didn't know if it would look good on me! When I put it on. I was really pleasantly surprised!  I like that it's a cream base and not white. I also REALLY love the glitter colors! Honestly I was really surprised how much I really loved this color. I really liked the way it applied and the way it looked on my nails! It was very glittery which is how I like it! I don't like having to scrape and search for the glitters. It lasted for me pretty well too! Here it is with 3 coats!

You can find ellagee on storenvy and facebook. Her polishes run about $9 each.

Thank you for reading! I hope you enjoy!!

Metallic Green & Emerald the Crown Jewel

Hi there!

I have two more color combos to show you! They are from the KleanColor Metallics and Wet n Wild Hot Rocks Collection. I am really enjoying showing these to you. They pair up so well!! Just the other day I was thinking. I should probly show the top coat glitter also with a few different colored base coats. I will try to do this more often with glitter!! What do you think ?

Metallic green was such a nice rich green. I loved the way it looked on my nails. It made my fingers look nice and long. I never have a lot of luck with green nail polishes, they ALWAYS stain my nails but this stained really bad. If you use this one I highly recommend a couple coats of base coat. Here it is with two coats.

Emerald the Crown Jewel really looked so nice with it. It was not super noticeable but I kind of liked that. These glitters really rock just in general. They are high quality and they last awhile! They are a little difficult to get off, but most glitter is!! I bet it would look really nice with a white base for St. Pattys day! Here is one coat over the metallic green!

Thank you for reading! I hope you enjoy!

Jamberry Polish Challenge

Ok, ok... So I know we have posted lots of Jamberry ladies on our fb page. One of my friends recently got started selling Jamberry nail wraps though, and she posted a challenge on her page to win some free wraps, so I thought it sounded fun and would give it a try!

If anyone is still interested in trying this, I believe she is going to have it open for a lil longer, so you can go check out her page and ask her! I had fun! Glam Jams with Tina is the page, visit by clicking here.

So anyways, the point of the challenge is to show how well the Jamberry wraps work as opposed to nail polish. I had just gotten a new brand of polish I had never tried before, so I figured it would be a great time to try it, see how they both held up. I was looking at Tina's page, of all the other entries she has posted so far... Most of them, the ladies polishes were almost completely gone. My polish was probably the longest lasting. haha I was quite impressed. I used Jewel by Nubar. It wore at just about the same rate as my Jamberry wrap did. I did however pick at my toenail one of the days so it peeled off a big chunk, but otherwise, they both help up very well!

I am wondering, what is everyone elses experience with Nubar and Jamberry Nail Wraps? I would love to get more Nubar, I am just wondering if it will last as long. Jamberry nail wraps are awesome! If you have never tried them, you should hit up one of the ladies that Panacea and I have been in contact with so far in our journey with the nail world. You can get a free sample mailed to you and they're so fun and easy to use!

Here is a list of the ladies that we have worked with so far. We figured it would be a good idea to list the ones we know that way you can chose the one you like best, or is closest to your location!

They're all nice ladies!

So anyways, here are my challenge pics.

Ok, well I hope you all enjoyed this post! Have a great week!! xoLeah

Just got Pinned

Hi there!

Back in like February ( I think! ) I won a giveaway from Glitter Me This. My choice of one of her latest holographics! I was so excited! I had never used this brand and I really am such a fan of holographics and when I got to pick my color, of course I went with orange!!

It is a very light orange but in the pictures it looks a little lighter even. I really dig everything about this polish. It was great application and the holographic is pretty sweet. Subtle but still very noticeable! Here it is with two coats!

I really like this polish! Orange is my favorite color but I don't have a lot of orange polish, and I definitely don't have many in holographics!!

Two Fingered Salute

Hi there !

I feel like I've been posting a lot of pinks and oranges lately so I kinda wanted to mix it up a little bit! As I was picking up colors and looking at them nothing was catching my eye until I picked up two fingered salute from butter LONDON. I forgot I had it but I am sooo happy that I came across it!

What a gorgeous color. Seriously, I couldn't stop looking at my nails, and I really didn't even want to take it off! It's a gorgeous turquoise color with copper glitter/flecks in it.

Here it is with two regular coats. I looved the application and again, I seriously loved this color! Sometime in May butter LONDON had this color for 10$ . I REALLY hope you all took advantage of that!

Thank you for reading! I hope you enjoy!

Pride!

Hi there !

June 30th was the pride parade. I think in every state/city that has one is on that day. I'm not gay, but I have a few friends that are. I am also a huge supporter of equality! I had planned to go to the pride parade in the city with my friend Morgan from work and a few of my gay's, but my boss made Morgan work and after paying all my things ... I just didn't have the funds to spend a day in the city... I wanted to share a really neat picture that always brings tears to my eyes when I see it!

I didn't take this exact photo. I was looking for the one I took at the last pride I went to but I can't find it ( I even signed into my myspace, which I haven't done in YEARS ). Boo. But this one is just at touching.

I still did my nails in support and celebration of the pride parade! I didn't want to paint rainbows on my nails so I did each nail a rainbow color. And to make it even better- I used textured glitter polishes!

In my head I don't know what I was thinking. I should have switched the order how I put them on. It's a backwards rainbow!

I used Zoya Stevie on my thumb, Julie G Blueberry fizz on my pointer, Zoya Solange on my middle, Julie G Sugar rush on my ring finger, and Julie G Hot cinnamon on my pinkie.

I really loved how this mani looked! I wish I could have sported it in the city!

Thank you for reading! I hope you enjoy!

Stencil fail

For my birthday back in April, I received a cute lil set of nail art polishes with stencils by Kiss. I thought they looked fun, but just never got around to trying them, till yesterday...

First I started out with some Gift Wrapped by Julie G. This is one of the polishes that I got from my haul at Big Lots. I paid $1 for it! (That sale was awesome) Anyways, this polish is gorgeous!

I wanted to do an accent finger in something shimmery, and then use the Julie G as the stencil color over the shimmer. I decided to use Gilty Party by Sally Hansen Complete Salon Manicure. Love this stuff! Its gorgeous silver with a very light hint of red sparkle in it.

Ok, so on to the stencil. Of course I waited till my polish was dry. I had let it sit for about an hour, then put the stencil over the accent nail. Instantly I knew that was a bad idea. It was already super sticky on the polish. So before even putting any polish on, I pulled it off. It peeled some polish off. Seriously? It dried for an hour! So I let it dry a little longer, then tried again. I knew it was still not going to work, so I applied polish anyways, just to see. Same thing, pulled it off, and it pulled up polish, but this time, it ripped, and it I wouldn't have carefully peeled it off the rest of the way, it would have probably peeled more than the first rip.

These stencils were flimsy and kept wanting to stick to my other fingers when I was trying to apply it, it wasn't cooperating with me at all. I thought they would be cute and fun, but they weren't at all, they just frustrated me. So I ended up just painting over the Julie G and calling it good, I gave up. lol

Hope everyone had a great 4th of July weekend and that you all have a fantastic week! xoLeah

Happy independence day

Hi there!!

Happy independence day! I hope everyone that celebrates had a wonderful and safe holiday! Did you see any fireworks? I got a chance to see just a few while I was driving but I didn't go see any specifically. I wish I could have though. Those who don't celebrate, I hope you had a wonderfully awesome Thursday!

I want to show you my 4th inspired mani!! If you did a 4th inspired mani we would love to see it! Please share it on our page!

I wanted to do some kind of nail art but I just wasn't feelin anything that I  was coming up with. I searched google for some inspiration and just was not really inspired. So I just went with a red white and blue mani with some America inspired glitter. For the red I used Wet n Wild Wild Shine red red, the white is LA Colors Energy Source, and the blue is butter LONDON Royal Navy. I used Julep America for the glitter gradient. My friend Morgan did her nails and kind of did them like they were fireworks and I wanted to do something like that but I kind of failed. Was not super proud of that but I did dig the glitter gradient !

Here is a picture of Morgan's nails!

Morgan used LA Colors Energy Source as a base, Zoya Libery and Julie G Hot Cinnamonfor her colors. All she did was paint a little bit of each color and take my cuticle pusher and used the plastic side and kind of pulled them. They look like fireworks! It looks so cool! I liked mines a lot until I saw these lolol.

I hope you all had a great day!

Thank you for reading! I hope you enjoy!

Happy Independence Day!!

Sunday night I didn't want my kids, they were at my parents for the night. I decided I wanted to do something fun for the 4th. Lots of the stuff I wanted to try wasn't really working out that well, so I just kinda gave up and went with the flow. lol

For the base color I used Kate by Julep. This is a nice white, its hard to find good white polishes which I am sure many of you already know. I really should do a comparison with the whites that I have... Anyways, for the red, I used Devious by Sinful Shine. There is two blues used. The glittery blue is Carly by Julep. This is probably my favorite blue glitter. Love this stuff!! The second blue is more holographic, its Wow-A-Doodle by Nail Nation. Her polishes are so awesome! The glitter on my ring finger is Light It Up by Julie G. And finally, the two stars on my pointer finger on my left hand, I used stars from Hollywood Walk Of Fame by Fergie by Wet n Wild. My original plan was to use stars like that throughout the whole many, but the polish, even though it was completely dry, suddenly was taking over the stars because of the glue I put down to hold the stars. So I ended up going with the gems.

I was going to do fireworks like my thumb on my left hand for the entire mani, from the get go, but when that took so long to do, I said forget it because it was already getting late. My brush that I was using was the wrong brush and was derpin it. lol My back was hurting so I was being too lazy to get up and get my other brush. haha

I wanted to change it up on my right hand cuz I wasn't really feeling the left hand. I keep thinking of Texas now for some reason though.

I decided to do my toes too and I think they look real cute! I mean my feed look gross, but I love this fuschia with these gems. I used Metallic Fuschia by Klean Colors. I know it doesn't go with my mani, but I just can't get over how gorgeous this fuschia is!

(Don't mind my dry skin and ugly toes. lol)

For the 4th, we're probably going to go swimming with our kids, then head down to the fireworks early and have a lil bbq with some of my family. This will be Elijah's first year going, so I am excited to see how he reacts. Zeke loves the fireworks! We didn't take Elijah last year because he was only 7 months old and it was like high 90's, super humid, and just miserable out. Saginaw's fireworks keep getting better, year after year. So I am excited to see how good they are this year!

What are some family traditions that you and your family have for Independence Day?

Hope everyone has a fun and safe holiday! Have a great week! xoLeah

BlackHawks!

Hi there :)

I don't follow sports really.. Unless you live under a rock you probably know that the Chicago Blackhawks won the Stanley Cup! There was a parade down in the city but I didn't go. Too many people and I had to work. But I did my nails for them. My friend Morgan helped my pick out my colors!

I used KleanColor Metallic red for the base with a black accent nail, which I used Wet n Wild Black Creme. I wasn't sure if I wanted to do a holographic top coat or just glitter. I decided on glitter. I used the Wet n Wild Rockin Rubies from the Hot Rocks collection.

This was pretty. I wasn't sure at first if I liked it. But I did actually really like it. It took me like an hour and A LOT of cotton squares to get it off though!

Thank you for reading! I hope you enojoy!
