Velvet & Caviar

Ok, so for awhile now I have had some of these Nail Rock London 3D nail art manicure sets. I was hesitating using them because I thought they were going to be super messy. At first when I tried them, they were a lil messy, but it was because I didn't really know what I was doing. Since I am offering some nail caviar in our giveaway, I thought I would show you guys some! You can check out this months giveaway by clicking here!

Each box contains 1 rock nail polish and 1 pot of whatever nail art product you bought. In this case I got the nail caviar and a nail velvet. For the nail velvet, I got it in the shade of burgundy. For the caviar, I got it in the shade of gold & multi.

Nail Velvet: Start with a base coat, then paint two coats of the rock polish that comes in the box. Before it dries dip your finger into the velvet pot and apply evenly. When you pull it out, dust off the excess velvet. Allow 15-20 minutes to dry and you're done! A tip that I would recommend is putting tape or something around your finger so it doesn't make a mess. lol I had it all over my thumb as you can see in these pics.

Nail Caviar: Stare with a base coat, then paint two coats of the rock polish that comes in the box. Before it dries dip your finger into the caviar pot and apply evenly. Once you pull out your finger, press firmly on the caviar to level it out and make sure it all sticks and covers. Allow 15-20 to dry and you're ready to go! The caviar is staticy and it they stick to everything, so this can be kinda messy as well if you don't take your time and go slowly.

Then I just decided to paint the rest of my nails with the two rock polishes that come with the caviar and velvet. This manicure was so fun, I got a few compliments on it and I couldn't stop playing with the velvet, it was so soft and cool! I had a few people ask me to do it for them too, but I haven't yet or else I would share pics of those too. lol After doing one hand, the second one was much easier because I knew what I was doing. lol

The only bad thing with this manicure is the caviar didn't last very long. After a few hours it was already falling off. I had it all in my bed and stuff the next morning. I don't know if there are any tricks to making it stay on longer, so if anyone knows any, please share! I wonder even if maybe a top coat would work? Or maybe would it just look weird? I dunno... Anyways, I hope you guys enjoyed this post! Have a great week! xoLeah
