Orly Oui

Hi there!

Today I want to show you one of my FAVORITE colors from Orly. Her name is Oui, and she is one of the few polishes I own that I have worn more than a few times.. I seriously just love this polish. It is a super gorgeous purple/gold shimmer bottle of liquid beauty. That is the best way that I can describe this polish. If you see this polish, you should snatch it up. You'll be so happy that you did.

Here it is with two coats and a top coat in regular light.

Here it is with two coats and a top coat in the sunlight... I've never really been able to get good photos of this polish for some reason. I think the sun here in Arizona is just awesome. It makes all my polishes look awesome!

Do you not just LOVE this polish? I cant even stand it. It is perfect. I love the color shift and the color combo. What do you think of this polish?

Thank you for reading! I hope you enjoy!

Orly Color Blast Magenta Gloss Glitter

Hello lovees.

Today I am gonna show you a GORGEOUS polish! I wish I could have gotten a sunshine pic of it, but its been so rainy and gloomy here today that I couldn't. This polish is so pretty though, and its holographic! Its called Magenta Gloss Glitter by ORLY Color Blast.

I think I say this every time, but I hate ORLY brushes. I love the handle, but hate the brush itself. Its too skinny, I hate skinny brushes. The only reason I keep buying them though is they have a great formula. I found out that I suck at painting with skinny brushes, so therefore I hate them. haha

I went to Meijer and was just looking around, not intending to buy anything and I found a huge display with a ton of colors. I was so excited. I want to go back and get more, but since they're $6.99 for half the size of the $8.99 bottles, I don't think I'll be buying much. lol We'll see though. I got them for myself for Mothers Day. lol I will be getting some other polishes too, but I have been waiting for the hubby to have a day off to tell me how many I can get, cuz I would probably max out our credit card if he wasn't there when I ordered them. lol I have a problem.

Orly Color Blast Magenta Gloss Glitter

This polish is great though, goes on nice with 1 coat, but I would recommend 2 to be perfect. Don't mind my ring finger, I smudged it right before I went to take pics and one of my kids was awake, so I didn't have time to fix it. lol

I have been using Nail Tek to try to make my nails better, they're so chippy and thin, I hate it. I tried Duri and it was ok, but when I stop they start to chip even worse and I am terrible about keeping up with it, so I am hoping to get better results with Nail Tek. I am hoping to show you guys some weekly results with it. I started it last week, but forgot to do it every day, so I am starting again today. I just did these today, so this is day one. I will show you guys each week how my nails are doing, obviously. hehe

The pics of me holding the ORLY bottle are without top coat, the pics holding Nail Tek are with that as the top coat. I also used Nail Tek as a base coat, per the instruction.

Anyways, I hope all you mommies had a wonderful Mothers Day and everyone else had a great time celebrating with mothers, or just doing whatever it is you did that day. hehe Hope everyone has a great week and enjoyed my post! xoLeah

Starburst

Hi there!

Today I want to show you a super fun, summery color from Orly! This color is called Starburst and is from their newer Galaxy FX collection. Space is one of my favorite things ever and when I saw this collection I was awestruck. It is such a pretty collection! Orly's were 2 for $11 at Sally's about a month ago, when they were having the special 50% off clearance. I had a really hard time just picking two! This color is perfect for a day like today. Heat Wave of 45 degrees!!

Starburst is a white base polish with tons of red, orange, yellow, and large white glitters. Since my run in with Mountain High, I am weary of white based nail polishes but those orange and yellow glitters were calling my name!

I really really loved this one!  It went on so nice and covered very well , but two coats is definitely necessary. It does has a texture effect to it but its not like the pixies or liquid sands. Love it.

Here it is with two coats no top coat!

This color is so very summery and makes me want summer and warm weather even more now! Have you tried any of the Orly FX polishes?

Thank you for reading! I hope you enjoy!

Peaceful Opposition

Hi there!

Today I want to show you a really unique color! Its called Peaceful Opposition from Orly.

Its a white/slightly grey base with black, grey and white glitters. Its crazy pretty! I got a few compliments on this! I actually really really loved this color! It went on really nicely and the glitters were abundant so I didn't have to search and dig. Definitely give it a good swirl to shake it up though.

It went on pretty thick but you will wanna do two coats! White base glitter polishes are hit or miss for me and I'm really glad this was a hit for me! It is very peaceful :D

Here it is with two coats and a top coat.

Isn't it so pretty? I really couldn't believe I enjoyed it so much!

Thank you for reading! I hope you enjoy!

Rock-It

Super excited to show you guys this mani. Its one of my top faves that I did and I get to also show you two of my new favorite things!

I went to T.J. Maxx for the first time the other day to see what kind of polishes they had. I didn't even know they sold polishes there until I had received some from one of my buddies with a T.J. Maxx price tag on it. So I went in there and they didn't really have a lot to choose from that I was interested in. They did have a TON of Essie's though in pretty colors for $4 something. Good deal. Anyways, so I did find this cute lil "Perfect Duo" box from Orly. It had Rock-It and Face of Destiny in it. Rock-It is the darker color and Face of Destiny is the salmon color. I got this duo for $5.99! Rock-It is what sold me, this is probably my new favorite nail polish color. I LOVE THIS COLOR!!! Face of Destiny is pretty too, but I am not like super in love with it. There could have been a super ugly color in this duo pack and I would have still gotten it because of Rock-It. lol

I don't have many Orly's, not including these two, I think I have 3 or 4. I haven't really used them much yet either, so this was really my first time using Orly for a full mani. I don't like the brushes, they're real skinny, I hate skinny brushes. Otherwise though its a nice formula and goes on smoothly.

Next I am gonna show you these awesome new Sally Hansen I <3 Nail Art pens!! They're so awesome, compared to trying to use a dotting tool, or the nail art duo pens from Art Club. I love them so much and I want every color now. I have white and black. I will be showing you the white in this post. They're like paint pens. They are so much easier to use to do nail art. I haven't gotten used to applying them yet, so in this mani they're kinda dotty and messy, but I still love it! I mean seriously, this stuff is so easy and so quick to do and dries so fast that I did BOTH hands AND my kids were even awake when I did them. CRAZY! haha Another thing I loved was that the white didn't bleed. All the other white nail art polishes I have the colors always seem to bleed and take forever to dry.

I hope you guys enjoyed my post! Have a great week! xoLeah

Birthday & Anniversary nails!!

Hi there!!

July is a pretty big deal for me! :D. My Birthday is the 6th and my Anniversary is on the 16th. This year my Husband and I celebrated our 8 year anniversary. I did my nails for both :D. I really was not a huge fan of my birthday nails at all, but my nails I did for my anniversary. I really really loved them. I was so impressed and just very happy with my nails! They came out like exactly as I was thinking in my head!

Here are my Birthday nails! I used Wet n Wild Megalast - Sunspot for the base, and ORLY - right amount of evil for my glittery accent nail and on my thumb. I used Zoya pixie dust - in liberty, stevie and solange for the balloons on my ring finger and Zoya liberty for the balloon on my pinkie. LA Colors - Energy Source for the strings. I was not really pleased with how these turned out but I figured I would show them still!!

Here are my Anniversary nails!! I really was a big fan of them! I kept showing them off and looking at them! I used butter LONDON Silly Billy as the base. Hubby got it for me for our anniversary, along with some really nice orange sunglasses!! For the glittery orange I used the orange Leah got me for my Birthday. It is Sally Hansen Hot Lava, which she posted a blog post about too! I really loved this color!!! I just used the brush on the bottle and kind of drew diagonal line and painted up. And I put the Silver Art pen that Leah got me on top! I put a nice sticker on my pointer finger, just to accent everything.

I thought for sure that since it came out like exactly how I was thinking, that I was gonna have some luck at the casino, but I think I used all my luck on my nails lolol.

Thank you for reading! I hope you enjoy!

Idaho Potato & Luxe

Hi there :)

The other day I was looking at pinterest on my tablet while I was waiting for hubby to get out of work. Mostly on my tablet pinterest is a suck. It just shows me the same pictures over and over again so I don't even know why I use it.

Anyways, I was looking at health and beauty because I really love to look at the nail designs and nail art. Some people are so amazing and creative! Well, I saw this one mani. A salmon pink base with a gold tip. How gorgeous, I thought! I couldn't stop thinking about it. When I got home I looked through all my nail polish to see if i had a pink that would do. No... Not one single pink that wasn't super bright or had some kind of glitter/ shimmer to it... No salmon colors either... Then I saw this pinkish brown color I got from Urban Outfitter's on clearance for .99 cents!!!! I didn't think I would ever wear it but for so cheap I couldn't say no!! I'm actually so glad that I did get it now!!

I used these french tip guide thingies from Essence. They are supposed to help make straight tips I think. But they are only as good as YOU are to put them on straight... They are helpful but on my left hand I just did a strip with my brush. You will see I did not place them well and all the tips are still uneven!

I used Orly Luxe for the gold tip. I really have been loving this gold in the bottle and couldn't wait to try it on. I honestly not a huge fan of the Orly's that I have tried and was a little afraid it wasn't going to go on as thick or noticeable as I was wanting, and I really didn't want to do two coats, so I was really happy when I seen how thick and nice it went on!!

Thank you for reading! I hope you enjoy!
