Easter Nails

Hi there!

Happy Easter to those who celebrate! Happy Sunday to those who don't! I hope everyone just has a wonderful Sunday, regardless of their plans!

Really quick, if you are planning on buying a bunny for your child this Easter, please do your research. Bunnies are not toys; they are gorgeous and amazing creatures that live for like 10 years! Unless you are planning on being able to handle that kind of commitment, please don't buy one!! If you are ready for that commitment, YAYYYY!!!, adopt from a shelter or bunny rescue!

Ok now onto my Easter nail art! I did not really love these. But, I dig my bunny. He is cute!!

For this mani I used: LynBDesigns Speckled Egg from her Spring Duo she released last year. ( I did a review on it here. ), OPI Chillin like a Villain, Blue Eyed Girl Lacquer Floppy. Hoppy. BUNNIES!, Zoya Julie, LA Colors Energy Source. For the nail art I used Color Club yellow, purple holographic and black holographic nail art pens, Its So Easy Bright Pink nail art pen, LA Colors White nail art pen.

I hope you enjoy my nail art! Thank you for reading!

Happy Easter! If you do any special nail art we would LOVE for you to share it on our page!

Happy Easter 2014

Hello lovlies!

This one is going to be quick. Just wanted to wish you all a early Happy Easter since next Tuesday will be after Easter. I have showed you guys these colors before HERE. The polishes I used are from Claires. Its their Pretty Please collection. I can't seem to find any other names for the polishes on the package. The photos of it are always really hard to capture true colors. They're soft shades, pastel really. They always show up so much brighter in pics. I decided to try some cute lil eggs this time with my Sally Hansen I <3 Nail Art pens. On some of them, it wasn't completely dry before I used the pens, so its kinda lumpy, but otherwise, they worked great once the base was fully dry. They for some reason were being weird for this mani though, they were like fading almost, then the top coat kinda wiped the blue off. I had to reapply. I have never had this problem before, so I dunno what was going on. I finished it off with the matte top coat from Julep.

I think they kinda turned out bad, but I got a lot of compliments on them, so I decided I would share them anyways, plus they took forever, so I might as well share. lol

Hope you guys have a great Easter and enjoy the rest of your week! xoLeah

Nail Art Challenge

Hi there :)

For Easter I did my very first Nail Art Challenge. I had SO much FUN doing this. I am not the most awesome drawer or nail artist but I really did have a great time with the designs and coming up with them! Have you ever done any nail art challenges or maybe even this one? Leah and I just joined a group for nail art contests. I am really looking forward to doing more!

The first day's challenge was grass/flowers- I used LA Colors Energy source as a white base with zoya Blu over it for sky. For the grass I used LA Colors Brites Kryptonite & a green polish that I made. For the Sun I used Wet n Wild The Wonder Yellows, For the Bunny I used LA Colors Energy Source with Wet n Wild Black Crémé for the eyes and LynBDesigns Eggs in a basket for the nose, For the flower I used Wet n Wild Fergie Collection Dana and for the middle I used LynBDesigns Eggs in a basket and for the stems I used the green that I made. For the Easter eggs I used LynBDesigns Eggs in a basket ( I seriously love this color!! ) and I used some flower nail gems.
I was really so pleased with this mani! I was so proud of myself!

The second day's challenge was bunnies! I didn't want to do the same kind of bunnies I kept seeing online so I thought who do peeps! I used LynBdesigns Flutter Byes as the base color. For the first bunny I used LA Colors Energy Source for the fur, Wet n Wild Black creme for the eyes and Sally Hanson nail art pen in pink for the nose & Whiskers. For the Carrots I used Wet n Wild 9.0.2.1. Orange and a green nail polish that I made. For the peeps I used The Sally Hanson art pen in pink with Wet n Wild Black Creme for the eyes. I was really mad when I put on my top coat and the bunnies all turned into zombies. I waited for at least 15 minutes before I put it on and I really don't think those tiny little black dots should have smeared !

Day three challenge was Easter Eggs. I used LA Colors Energy Source as the base for all the nails except for the pink which I used LynBDesigns Eggs in a basket. The Thumb I used Zoya Breezi with  glitter on top by Glitter me This. On the pointer finger I used Zoya Julie with LynBDesigns Eggs in a basket. For 'Happy Easter' I used butter LONDON Squatter, For my ring finger I used Zoya Pilaf, Julie and Neely and on my pinkie I used LynBDesigns Eggs in a basket.

The fourth day was Chickies. I used Milani Texture in Yellow Mark. I really loved this texture polish. I used LA Colors Energy Source for the egg shells, Color Club Sparkle & Soar for the beak and Wet n Wild Black Creme for the eyes and little hairs

The fifth and final day of the Challenge was Pastels. I used Zoya Neely, LynBDesigns Eggs in a basket, LA Colors Energy Source, Zoya Pilaf, LynBDesigns Flutter Byes.

Again I had A ton of fun doing this challenge and can't wait to participate in more!

Thanks for reading! I hope you enjoy!

Easter Nail Challenge

I know Easter is done and over with, but I wanted to share with you guys the nails that I did for the Easter Nail Challenge that Galactic Lacquer had for Easter!!

It was really fun and exciting for me to do because I had never done a nail art challenge before!

The first day was grass/flowers. I tried to use mostly sparkly polishes because I thought that would be fun, but I had a hard time taking pics because the grass and sky was blending together. I think they turned out cute though! I did multiple pics for this one when I shared it because of the problems taking pics.

Second day was bunnies!! This was my favorite mani for the whole challenge! I didn't want to take my bunines off, but then started to peel off the next day. :(

Third day was Easter eggs, and since I had already done Easter eggs for my Easter mani, I decided to just use that picture for it! :D

The fourth day was chicks. I didn't know what to do for this one, so I looked up some pics on google for inspiration! lol I thought they turned out ok, but I probably could have done better! Still cute though I think!

The fifth and final day was pastels. This was most difficult for me because I didn't really have a lot of pastels to go with and I was trying not to use colors from my Easter mani, but I ended up using a few of them. Then when I was taking pics they were turning out looking darker than they looked in person. It was frustrating!

Did anyone else do this challenge? What was your favorite one to do if you did do it?

Hope everyone had a great weekend and sorry I didn't post this yesterday like I normally do, but I had a reverse surprise party for my husband! lol I will explain what I mean by that on my birthday post tuesday!! Have a great week!! xoxoLeah

Hoppy Easter!

HAPPY EASTER!!!

I know Easter is tomorrow, but I am doing my post today!

Today me and my kids and my sister in law and my nephew all went to SVSU (Saginaw Valley State University) for the Easter egg helicopter drop that a local church had there! They had bounce houses, a guy making balloon animals, free drinks, and they sectioned off 3 different areas, filled them with plastic eggs, and then had a helicopter fly above them and drop more, it was pretty awesome. Well it was awesome besides the fact that the helicopter blew everything around and made it super cold and was very loud. I don't think I would have taken Elijah (my 1 year old) if I would have been there before to see what it was like. He cried the entire time the helicopter was above dropping eggs because it was so loud and cold. Zeke loved it, but was scared and hid behind me and watched. lol Then when we were done with that my sister in law said that if we hurried we could make it to the court house's egg hunt. So we went to that also, and we got to see the Easter bunny and the Easter statues that they have every year. Finished off with McDonalds and playin in the playplace for lunch. We had a great day!

I had fun doing this mani even though it turned out a lil sloppy. I got to use some new polishes, and try some things out with my nail art duos. I barely use them, and I wanna start using them more. However, when I did this mani, I broke the white and need to get a new one.

Started out by doing 2 coats of each Wet N Wild Megalast, also the Sinful Colors. Then I did 1 coat of the Color Club holo on my accent nail for the sky. I used the Art Club white pen part of it to paint the dots and zig zags. Then I used the Color Club yellow for the chick. Just did a round tipped triangle shape and finished it off with a beak with the LA Colors and eyes with the Art Club black. I had lots of fun doing this mani because like I said, I rarely do nail art and I have been really wanting to!

Also, thought I would share some pics from our adventures today! Hope everyone has a fantastic Easter and that you all enjoy your time with your families! My hubby had to work, but I get to be with other family and of course my favorite lil men!

You can kinda see the eggs dropping!

Zeke was hiding behind me, but still loved the Helicopter! This is his "WOW, AWESOME!" face. lol

My nephew Michael John, my son Elijah, and my son Ezekial at the courthouse after collecting eggs.
