Honey Ryder

Hello ladies! This week I am showing you one that I got in a swap! A few weeks ago I did a swap with one of my friends that I met in the polish community, Alicia! The A-England, Saint George post I did a few weeks back is the polish she wanted of mine, so I traded her that, with some others for Honey Ryder by OPI along with some others.

Honey Ryder is from the liquid sand line. I have two other liquid sand polishes, and I did a post about one of them some time ago. I really love the liquid sand polishes, and textured polishes in general. This one is a gold color, of course, being from the OPI Bond Girls collection, there has to be gold! hehe

Anyway, this color is so pretty, its not an extremely metallic polish, goes on very smoothly. Its a good color for Christmas too I think. Looks good with or without a top coat, I chose to use a top coat, but took pictures of it with and without.

I say it was a good swap choice! I also got another textured polish when I did this swap, so I might be using that one soon, not sure yet because I want to do a few Christmas mani's and its not exactly a Christmas color. We'll see! You will see it eventually though! hehe

OPI- Mariah Carey liquid sand Can't Let Go

Hi there :)

I am sure by now everyone is probably getting tired of seeing the Mariah Carey liquid sand collection, but I am just now jumping on the bandwagon! When I first heard of the liquid sand deal I really was not sure how I felt about it... How weird.. How hard would it be to get off?! Probably impossible. Would it feel weird going on? I just had a lot of weird issues with it.

I couldn’t decide what color I wanted to paint my nails so I had Hubby pick. He picked Can’t let go from the Mariah Carey collection. I was a little hesitant. I really just wasn’t sure if I was ready to go there just yet. But he said he wasn’t going to pick another color so I went with it.. I actually really liked it. I was surprised! It didn’t feel weird going on, it wasn’t really super difficult to get off. It was really weird in my gloves. By the time I got off work what polish was left on my nails, the sand was like bleached almost.

I didn't use any top coat because it said not to. I have seen pictures with and without. I like the way it looks much better without top coat.

Have you tried any liquid sand polishes yet? Do you want to try them? How do you feel about them?

Thanks for reading! I hope you enjoy!

The Impossible!

Hope everyone is excited about the giveaway! Its going to be ending sunday the 13th, so make sure you get all the entries that you can get in!!

So, for those of you who don't know, Panacea and I are best friends. Sadly, we live in different states. She lives in Illinois and I live in Michigan. So for Christmas, Pan sent me a box of goodies for me and my kids. It was tons of nail polish and some other goodies. I was so excited to get it. Lots of new brands that I haven't tried before, also types of polish that I haven't tried before, including this one. Its Liquid Sand by OPI. Its exactly that. Its really neat because its got a grain to it and a bit of a matte finish. The color is called "The Impossible." This quote comes to mind: Impossible is a word to be found only in the dictionary of fools. -Napoleon Bonaparte.

This polish goes on real thick and awesome on the first coat. Finished it off with a top coat. My pics really don't do it any justice. They make the color slightly off and I dunno what else, but they look much better in person. I also need to get a good top coat. I asked on our facebook page awhile ago what everyones favorite top coats are and not many people answered. I would really like some opinions on some very awesome top coats that all you lovely ladies use!

Sorry that this isn't that long, but I need to shower and go to sleep because I need to get up early tomorrow, helping my friend house hunt! Hope everyone has a fantastic week!!
