Medicate

Hi there!

I can't believe it is almost Easter! Holy cow, this year is just flying by! It is crazy that Easter and 4/20 are on the same day this year.

I figured that since it is almost 4/20- I would review the rest of my Mentality 4/20 collection! I did a review on Educate some time ago, you can check that post out, here. Mentality actually has a few more colors, known as the Temperate Collection, and both sets are on sale for $5 until 4/20! Woooo!

The color I want to show you today is called Medicate. I love love love this color and the name. Medical Marijuana has helped me, and so many people I know be able to live a healthy and mostly normal life.

Medicate is a super gorgeous, deep dark green holographic polish. It is so pretty. The application of this polish was great, it applied so smooth and even. It could be worn with just one coat, but I always try to go with at least two!

Here is Medicate with two coats no top coat.

So pretty. It is not a plain gloss finish, its like almost gloss and matte in one. Very cool!

Here it is with two coats and a top coat.

My camera really didn't like taking pictures of it with the top coat!

I like really love this color! You can check Mentality out on Facebook and on Big Cartel. Their polishes start at $6 each ( except the 4/20's are 5! ), and they offer free domestic shipping!

Thank you for reading! I hope you enjoy!

It's my Present!

Hi there!

Today I want to share with you a fabulous Holiday indie polish from Polish Yer Hooves!

Really quick I just really want to tell you how awesome her customer service is...

I was talking to Hubby about the recent Polish Yer Hooves holiday collection and how much I had wanted a few of them... I had told Leigh Anne that I was wanting to buy them, and hopefully would be able to when Hubby got paid... Well I had asked him, if I could buy a few of the polishes? But I am waiting for her to release the glitters. He got a kind of disappointed look on his face and I was like what?? And he was being a super sweetie and said he wanted to surprise me ( but I ruined it! Fail!! :'( ) and bought me some colors he thought were the ones that I had wanted. I felt like a SUPER jerk! Really bad... I messaged Leah Anne and explained the situation and why I hadn't placed an order and she told me I could pick the ones I wanted because she hadn't sent them out. I really didn't want to seem ungrateful because I was just so excited to get the polishes but I did change two of the colors.

The first color I want to show you that he got me is It's my Present! Its a super cute red/pink holographic polish. This is a perfect Holiday color. Sure to attract lots of attention! The color is beautiful and super sparkley! I wore this for quite a few days because I just didn't have the time to paint my nails and I just loved it!! It held up really well, very few chips or peels and I even got a few compliments!

Here it is with two coats and topcoat.

So many sparkles! Even my Baby Girl had to squint cuz of all the sparkles lolol! If you don't have any Polish Yer Hooves in your collection yet, you really need to change that! Leigh Anne is so sweet and these polishes are seriously great quality!

You can find Polish Yer Hooves on Facebook and Etsy. She also has a ton of different smells to choose from!

Thank you for reading! I hope you enjoy!

Cow are You?

Hi there!

Today I want to show you another polish from Polish Yer Hooves. It's called Cow are You? ( Isn't that so cute?! ) from the Star Grazers collection.

I was really excited to try this polish because: 1. Orange is my favorite color and 2. Its Holographic!! Who doesn't love that sparkley goodness? Aliens probly. lolol.

When I got this color it was a little lighter than I was expecting and not as orange- a little more nudey/apricot. But I was still pretty excited to try it. I did three coats but it's still pretty light. I think this would be a perfect color for someone who works in a business which doesn't allow any un natural color nail polish. Its a natural color and the holographic is pretty subtle so you still get the sparklies but you wont be too blingy.

The ladies at work thought I wasn't wearing any polish ( which really never happens ) and when I showed them they thought it was so cool that it looked nude but you could see sparkles!

Here is a picture of all the colors to choose from in the Star Grazers collection.

Let me show you the super cute packaging my mini's came in again really quick. Cute little bag with a little card, some nail confetti and some little cow confetti. Also there was a mini cowtail candy that I ate as soon as I saw it! :D

Here is Cow are you with three Coats and one coat of top coat. I think three coats is necessary because its so light but you could probly get away with two coats too.

This picture is without flash. It looks mostly like this outside. It was neat.

With flash. How it looked just about every where else.

The holographic was subtle but still noticeable. I really liked this color. I chose not to have this one scented. She still has a few smells that I really want to try!

I have a few orange holographics and it amazes me how each one is so different!

You can find Polish Yer Hooves on Facebook and Etsy. Her polishes are about $9 each and don't forget she has tons of smells to choose from if you want to try something different! She is also selling hand painted polish bottles for the Holidays. They are $2 extra and they are SO cute!!! If you know a cow lover you should probly check them out!!! Here is a link the the bottle album so you can take a look.

Thank you for reading! I hope you enjoy!

Kiss my Hooves

Hi there!

Is it just me or was last week so horribly loooong?! Last week was so long for me that when I wrote that sentence I was like omg wait... was that last week or the week before this one? No, it was last week. lolol...

I needed something to lift my spirits after that super long week. I decided to paint my nails one of the super cute & sexy new nail polishes I got from Polish Yer Hooves!

The color is Kiss My Hooves ( I love all the names she has lol! ) From the Star Grazers Collection. It's a SO gorgeous bright red holographic polish. I was talking to Leigh Ann when I was picking my color and she was asking if I wanted a smelly and I was like hmm... I've never really tried smelly nail polish but when I ordered one of my others from her I had noticed that she had TONS of smells. I was kind of hesitant but when she said lilac I knew I HAD to try it. I love lilac. It is my favorite smell in life. The smell is very nice but I have a super sniffer and the polish was very strong for me. I don't know if it's just me, but if you have a sensitive sniffer and want to try one her of smellys ask her for a light scent that is what she told me she would try if I decided to try another smelly. I think that I would like to try a couple of the other smells!

My mini's came in this super cute little bag with some sparklies and some cow confetti. OMG so adorable! The package also came with a cows tail candy but that didn't make it but like 3 seconds!

The red one is the one I am showing you today. It's so pretty. I love it so much. I only have one other red holographic nail polish and its much darker. Here it is with 3 coats and one coat of top coat.

Isn't it so pretty?! This is such an elegant color. Packed with sparkles and sure to attract attention! Have you tried any Polish Yer Hooves polishes yet? I think I am a fan for life! If you haven't tried them yet you can check out her Facebook page and her Etsy store. Her polishes are about $9.00 each and she has so many smells to choose from!!

Here is a picture of all the pretties in the Star Grazers Collection! They are on Pre Order right now so get in on that!!

Thank you for reading! I hoe you enjoy!

Fluffy Pumpkin

Hi there!

I am so sorry that I have been such a blog suck lately! I feel like since I got sick I've just lost my mojo and trying to make up for all the slack!

On Oct. 22 was our real One Year Blogiversary and I really wanted to revisit the very first polish that I had ever reviewed on this blog but when I went to take pictures it smeared all over the place. I was so upset! I didn't have time to re paint them either. waa. :(

You can find my first blog post here if you haven't seen it before! I think our blog has REALLY come a long way since then! :D

Since I didn't get to redo the Ruby Pumps polish, today I want to show you a very pretty orange holographic from LynBDesigns!

This color is called Fluffy Pumpkin. It was a limited edition orange holographic polish she released for Halloween! She only made 25 bottles and I was so lucky enough to get one! I had heard about the release, was super excited. Then I fell asleep and I missed the initial release and when I woke up I thought for sure that I had missed it... I didn't!! Then I asked hubby if I could use the money in my savings so I could buy it. He said yes, I was just so excited!!! I couldn't wait to own it and wear it!

When I got it , I wore it one of the first days. I forgot my ridge filler and I only had done two coats. I was a little disappointed because with two coats I couldn't really see the holographic and the orange was really light.

I googled it because I wanted to see other swatches. I just wasn't ready to give up on this beauty. I am really glad I didn't too. I tried it again with ridge filler, a base coat and 3 coats of Fluffy Pumpkin.. Oh ma glob. Three coats made SUCH a difference!

Here it is with 3 coats and a top coat.

I'm really super happy that I gave this one another try. Orange is my favorite color ever, and I just love holographics!  You can find LynBDesigns on Facebook and Etsy. She is also having a sale to help her fix her car, she hit a deer and needs to pay for some repairs! I love LynBDesigns polishes. They are so nice and such a great quality and she is so sweet! If you haven't tried her polishes, seriously go try some today. It is the perfect time!

Thanks for reading! I hope you enjoy!

Heisenberg

Hi there!

I really really loved Breaking Bad. I was late to the game but my Hubby and I caught it on Netflix and we were hooked from the first episode. We binged through the show and caught up with TV and watched it with the rest of the world. I didn't really think that I would like this show. I remember first hearing about it and going 'eh'. When Hubby said ' we have to watch it I hear so many amazing things about it ' I still wasn't super convinced. But again like most things, I'm glad I changed my mind!!

When I heard that they were ending it I was sad. Very sad. But happy at the same time ONLY because they endedd it before they ran it into the ground and ruined it.. Check out this really interesting buzzfeed article Leah shared about Breaking Bad. Here. It's pretty neat!!

Rainbow Honey released a limited edition polish back in August called heisenburg when the new episodes of Breaking Bad started. I had been really wanting it since the first time I saw it. I kept seeing swatches and finally a few weeks ago I was like I can't take it anymore and I ordered it. I think I am lucky because it was part of a restock and it's such a gorgeous color. Not to mention it's for Breaking Bad and I think just about everyone and there mother watches it! I wore it last weekend for the Series Finale of Breaking Bad.

It is such a gorgeous blue with millions of sparkle. I would never do meth in my life but if someone offered me shiny glittery stuff like this. I might buy it just to look at it. But probly not cuz now I have heisenburg!! No sense in risking jail time. lololol.

I have to tell you something so cool.. I shared a picture of my heisenburg nails on instagram on Sunday and Rainbow Honey shared my picture!! oh my glob! So cool!!

Here it is with 2 coats!

You can find Rainbow Honey on Facebook and their website.

Guh I just love it so much. So gorgeous. Do you love Breaking Bad? Who was your favorite character?

Thank you for reading! I hope you enjoy!

Lolita's Gown

Hi there!

I want to show you one more really pretty purple polish from Gothic Gala Lacquer called Lolita's Gown! Its a really pretty, super sheer purple with black and white glitters.

This color is a really beautiful color. I am a huge fan of purple nail polish! I wasn't 100% sure what a lolita is so I googled a picture. Then googled images of a lolita's gown and oh my. Some of them, they are so gorgeous!!

To me the name and the polish go hand in hand. The name is spot on for something that comes to mind just when I think of lolita's gown before I even googled it.

On to the polish!

The first coat of this polish is super thin. I didn't think to take a picture ( I'm sorry! ) of it but you can see a picture on her etsy page.

You definitely would want two, maybe even three coats. Here it is with two coats.

I really liked the sheer to this polish but I really was not a huge fan on the glitter. You know that I love glitter so that was really hard for me to cope with!! It wasn't bad but, I had a really super hard time getting any glitter at all on the brush and the stars I really really had to fish for. Here it is with three coats no top coat!

And here is three coats with one coat of top coat!

You can find Gothic Gala Lacquers on Facebook and Etsy. Her polish run about $9 a piece.

Thank you for reading! I hope you enjoy!

Welcome to the ball

Hi there!

I am so excited to show you this super gorgeous polish from Gothic Gala Lacquers. They are my first ones that I have tried and omg. I can not even wait to try more!

Look how cute the packaging is that it came in! One of our fans said "Its like a party in a box!". Yes. :).  There was a cute sucker that I didn't see before I took the photo. I ate it. It was yummy. :D

I really love the bottle that she uses. I think they are perfect for her brand. They are gorgeous and elegant. One of the favorite bottles that I've seen.

The color I want to show you is Welcome to the Ball. Her site describes this polish as : "A disco ball in a bottle. A black base with a slight holo shift, with more glitter than you can shake a stick at!" That description could not be more accurate. I loved this color. So much! It has a wicked holo to it and it is PACKED with glitter.. Tons. There are little silver holographic hexes, purple, black and silver holo squares plus a few other glitters that go along perfect with the holo. It dries with a bump but with a topcoat it comes out smooth.

This is a super fun polish. It would be great for a night out and perfect for Halloween! Here it is with two coats, no topcoat.

This next picture is a little blurry but it really shows off the sparkle!!

Here it is without flash. This picture is a little more accurate to the color. Still a little darker.

Here it is with one coat of topcoat. I used Ulta X-dry.

It is really such a beautiful color. I couldn't stop looking at it. I feel like if you wore this out, you would get noticed across the room. You can find Gothic Gala Lacquers on Facebook and Etsy.

Thank you for reading! I hope you enjoy!
