Shaken, Not Stirred

Hi there!

Today I want to show you another fun polish from My-Stash Lacquer. It's called Shaken, Not Stirred.

This color was so much fun. It's an iridescent matte glitter topper polish ( Say that 10x fast lolol ). I honestly didn't see that it said matte in the title so when I put it on and it came matte I was like Heck Yes!!! I've seen lots of fun matte glitter polish swatches lately but I've never tried any! I really liked it! I thought about putting a top coat over it but I really just loved the matte so much!

I wanted to show this color over a few different colors. I went with ( in order L- R) Red Red, Black Crémé, Who is Ultra Violet?, Listening to Blue Reed, and Vengeful Bride - all from Wet n Wild.

There is tons of glitter and sparkles, but they aren't super in your face. Very fun. I liked this polish a lot!  You could really put it over any color or mani for a fun look!

You can check out My-Stash Lacquer on Facebook and Etsy! Her polishes run about 6$ each for full size bottles!

Thank you for reading! I hope you enjoy!

Shaken, Not Stirred by Leah

Omg I totally just realized something... I almost did this polish that I am about to show you called "Shaken, not stirred." by My-Stash Lacquer over top of Honey Ryder by OPI. Then I realized it probably wouldn't look right, but wouldn't that have been a funny name combo. Two 007 names. XD

Haha sorry, aaaanyways.... Last week for my mani I showed you Carnival by My-Stash Lacquer and I LOVED it. Panacea showed you one by the same brand too. These polishes are seriously so awesome. Her glitters are amazing. The base for these is like the perfect base, goes on so smooth, isn't drippy at all either.

This one, "Shaken, not stirred" is a sort of  iridescent, small glitter top coat. Dries with a matte finish. It also dried very fast! I tried it over two colors this week. I decided not to do it on a clear nail because the glitters are so small and stuff that I just feel nobody would really use it on just a naked nail. So I used it over Ulta Ruby Slipper on one hand, and Ebony Hates Chris on the other.

The sparkles look red, green, and gold to me. In the bottle it looks white.

Over Ruby Slipper it looks very Christmasy or nice for Thanksgiving even! Over Ebony Hates Chris it has a Halloween look! I am sure over other colors it will have different effects too, so fun!!

Hope you enjoyed my post, enjoy some lovely swatches. I forgot to put cuticle oil on for a couple pics, so ignore my dry fingers/cuticles. lol Winter hates my skin.

Sinderella's Slipper

The other day Pan showed you Welcome to the Ball from Gothic Gala Lacquers and today we want to show you Sinderella's Slipper.  We wanted to do this as a dual post from both of us so that we could both show you this amazing and beautiful glitter topper. The site describes it as: " glitter topper with red holo and red holo hearts, black hex glitter and black hearts as well as copper glitter. ". It is so amazing!!

Panacea and I pretty much feel the same way about this polish. It is seriously so amazing!! I am totally in love with it. It also reminded me of the red queen from Alice in Wonderland.

It goes on very nicely! I was getting a decent amount of each glitter on each stroke. At first I didn't get any hearts when I did the first coat on the fake nail, but the second coat it pulled hearts and they even lined up perfectly. I didn't move them at all! lol

First coat on fake nail.

Second coat on fake nail. I didn't move the hearts at all, they lined up like this on their own! lol

I kinda waited till it was real late to do the swatch on the fake nail, so I didn't get time to do my own nails. The reason I wanted to do it on a fake nail too was because its long. My nails are short right now. So the next day I did my own. I wanted to do something where it showed the polish on different colors, so I just did a whole mani with different colors and I loved all of them! I used Ebony Hates Chris by Wet N Wild for the black, then used Kate by Julep for the white, lastly for the red, I used Taking The Red Eye by Wet n Wild Megalast. All three colors matched the glitter and looked great together with Sinderella's Slipper. As Panacea mentioned below, there is even a hint of copper in it, which is different, but I love it!

These were taken inside with my light.

I had a heart on one of my nails that kept hooking on everything, but if you put enough top coat on it, you can usually get that to not be a problem. I noticed that Pan also mentioned about the hearts not laying flat, I too am also cool with that because this polish is so awesome!  lol

Please ignore my dry skin and bad cuticles.

It sparkles so pretty too, I really should have taken a video of it and posted it in here also. I hate how most glitters you have to dig around for a variety of glitters to be equally spread, not with this one at all. It went on very evenly. The hearts were a lil sparse, but thats not an issue for me, makes it unique to each nail. The bottles are really cute and really nice too. Made it easier for me to put it on.

For those of you who haven't heard of this brand yet, its probably because she's fairly new! She just launched her new line in August. She has a bunch already planned too and they're very pretty!! Gothic Gala Lacquer is the name, run by Samantha. She's very nice too! I can't wait to try more of her polishes!

You can shop Gothic Gala Lacquer here!
You can visit her FB page here!

Hope you enjoyed my portion of this dual post! Here is Panacea's portion now! xoLeah

I don't even really know how to begin how to tell you all how much I LOVE this nail polish. It was such a fun polish. It is perfect for Halloween, it would also be really great for Valentines day! It reminded me of the Queen from Alice in Wonderland. Its not news to anyone that I love hearts. It made me happy to see them. I know they don't generally lay flat but I dun even care lolol. I love heart glitter. I seriously loved this polish so hard. I took the polish off my toes and repainted them red so I could wear this glitter on top! Since it's still warm I am wearing flip flops out and about and I see people checkin my toes out. Holler. I know its because of the polish cuz I have been wearing flip flops all summer and have never seen so many people check my feet out!

It is super versatile. It wasn't even really that hard to get off.. Here is a picture of the glitter by itself with two coats and one coat of topcoat.

Here it is with colors that match the colors of the glitter in the polish. I used Zoya Gia, Wet n Wild black crémé, and Wet n Wild blank canvas. I like how it looks with these colors.

I wanted to show you with other versatile colors. Some I think would be great for Halloween and Valentines Day. When I showed my friend Morgan the brown she was like brown for Valentines Day? Yea! It kind of looks like chocolate hearts. I dunno. I think it looks really nice. I also really love it over the orange. I really loved this set of colors with the glitter!

This one is super blurry but you can really see the sparkle!

Thanks so much for checking out our post, sorry it was so long, but since we had both gotten it to review, we decided we would do it together! Have a great week everyone! xoLeah & Pan

Nails by Zeke

This is Zeke in his first 3 years and 9 months of life! In the middle is one of our first picture together that I remember taking, also my favorite first picture. lol The others I was dopey because I had a c-section and I was hyperventilating the whole time. Not to mention my face was puffy from the morphine and crying in all the other pics. lol

This is Zeke today on his 4th birthday!!

Today my baby turned 4! I can't even believe it! The time has just flown by so fast, especially since I had my second son Elijah. He'll be 2 in December. Zeke was born at 11:55 am weighing in at 8lbs 14oz and he was 21 inches long.

He's got a lil attitude, but he cracks me up! He is such a funny kid, people are always laughing at him. He has some pretty great facial expressions too.

Anyways, Zeke has always been kinda interested in my nail polish and my nails when I paint them. He always tells me "oooh pretty" or "those are nice nails mama." So since I wanted to do something fun this week for his birthday, I decided I will let him paint my nails.

When I asked Zeke if he wanted to paint my nails he got SOOO excited! He ran right to my closet that I keep all my stuff in and was opening it up trying to get everything out. So he helped me pull it all out and sat down with me at the table and started picking out colors. He picked out a million colors, so I had to tell him to put some back and to only pick 4 colors. Then I let him pick a glitter to go with it. I must say, he did not too bad of a job, I honestly thought I was going to have to clean my table and have it all over my hands when he was done, but he didn't get any on anything buy himself and I and it wasn't much, just a few small smudges. He had so much fun and wanted to keep going when we were done, so I might have this be a tradition until he thinks its dumb. lol Maybe have him paint my nails for my birthday as well!

Anyhow, here are the pics:

Helping mama blow on her nails to dry them.

Really getting into it!

Concentrating so hard!

This was before he put glitter on. I cleaned up the couple smudges he got on my skin.

I even got some accent nails!

Forgot to take a pic of this hand before glitter.

The colors Zeke used were Buffy The Violet Slayer by Wet n Wild Fast Dry. A pink glitter color that I dont know the name of by Blue Cross Beauty. Lightning by Sally Hansen Insta Dri. Pool Party by China Glaze, and then the glitter is Kaleidoscope by Studio M.

Hope you guys enjoyed my post! Have a great week! xoLeah

My Polish Is Poppin

Ok, so Panacea already did her post about the AWESOME polish that Maria from NailNation3000 made specially for us! You can find her post here. She used blue and yellow for her base to show you, so I decided I would try it over some different colors to show you some more range. Then I thought, why don't I just pick a color for each nail and do it that way!

Panacea and I were SOOOOO excited when Maria told us she was doing this and when she finally showed us! This stuff is so awesome!! She of course named it after us, so its called My Polish Is Poppin'. It works so well with tons of colors! I did have to scrape a lil for some big glitters, but I didn't really mind because of how awesome it is! lol Not only did she make us an awesome polish, but she also made us a code to share with our fans for a discount!! How awesome!!

I used about 3 coats when I did mine because I wanted it to be really sparkly! My thumb is Metallic Green by Klean Colors, then I used Metallic Purple by Klean Colors, then Rapid Red by Sally Hansen Insta Dri, then I believe it might be Flashy Fuschia by Sally Hansen Insta Dri, then I used Ebony Hates Chris by Wet n Wild Fast Dry.

I just love how many colors it could go over, and how FUN it is!! We couldn't thank Maria enough for doing this for us! The code only lasts until August 15th for 20% off any order over $25 (before shipping) in NailNation3000's Store Envy shop. The code is POPPIN20. The polish made for us is a very limited run, so if you want to get it, make sure you get it fast! You can purchase the polish or any of her other polishes by clicking the link here.

Thanks for reading, hope you guys enjoy! Have a great week! xoLeah

True Blood

I know its not Tuesday, but OMG OMG OMG!!! TRUE BLOOD IS BACK TOMORROW!!! I am so excited! This is probably my favorite show, this or Shameless. It might be a tie. lol

I wanted to do a mani for the premiere. I had lots of fun doing it and I even did both hands! haha Usually when I do something more than just a simple paint job I only do one hand like that. I loved it so much though that I just had to do it on both hands.

Is anyone else going to be watching the premiere tomorrow? For anyone interested, it starts at 9 on HBO. I don't recommend watching it though if you haven't watched before. You need to watch it all to understand a lot of whats going on. Here is the trailer for season 6.

For my mani, I used the black and white Art Club nail art duo pens in black and white for the writing and fangs. For the blood I used Devious from the new Sinful Shine line. For my ring finger I used the Julep Matte top coat. The red on my pointer and pinky is Taking The Red-Eye by Wet n Wild Megalast. The black is Wet n Wild Fast Dry in Ebony Hates Chris.

Hope everyone is having a great weekend and has a great week! xoLeah
